DJ Bookbinders offers a specialist book, magazine and thesis binding service delivered to the highest standards, located just outside Swanage in Dorset.
We turn printed matter into hardcase bound volumes, turning magazines or loose pages into books that will grace any bookshelf. This procedure is carried out with care and precision with particular attention given to each individual customer's requirements.
As specialist book binders we offer thesis binding, magazine binding and periodical binding. We also bind family histories, manuscripts, presentation books and much more. In our binding section you will see a list of all the different types of binding that we can undertake, but we also welcome enquiries for any type of sewn binding with no minimum quantity. If you need just one book bound for a special gift or have a project or assignment to present, just get in touch with us, either by phone or email, and we can advise on options, colours, lettering and price. Emails are generally checked every evening and it is always helpful if you can supply a phone number and a convenient time for us to call you.
Our hardcase sewn volumes are sturdily bound in arbelave library buckram, which we can supply in a variety of colours and we offer the choice of gold or silver lettering.
DJ BOOKBINDERS ARCHIVE QUALITY HAND-MADE BINDERS
DJ Bookbinders can now supply archive quality binders, with covers made from arbelave library buckram and gold lettering to the spine. These binders are based on DJ Bookbinder's original football programme binders and by using archive quality polyester pockets are now suitable for storing all types of collectable documents including vintage football programmes, theatre programmes, documentation, photographs etc. For details of sizes and prices please go to our binders section.

There is no minimum quantity. We are happy to bind as little as one volume per customer.
Our workshop is located just outside Swanage in Dorset and are open Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm and Saturday 9am - 1pm. We are generally closed on Tuesdays. If you are planning to visit us and travelling some distance, please let us know beforehand and we can make sure the workshop is open as occasionally we close for short periods during the day - dog to the vet etc!
